m._ort 0 Posted January 26, 2002 Wonderful portrait! Beautiful sepia tone, great crop, just the right amount of shadow to give nice 3D effect. And to touch it off, excellent catchlights in the eyes. Kind regards, m. (8/8) Link to comment
ken_bufton 0 Posted January 26, 2002 You're in big trouble for taking such a nice photograph! The lighting is great and although I'm not a fan of toning, it works here. I'm not 100% sure about cropping through the forehead. Nice to see some catchlights in the eyes, and the safe, diffused lighting really compliments the subject well. This is a tecnically competent and well taken photograph. Link to comment

ville_inkala 0 Posted January 26, 2002 Somehow this reminds me of a certain famous painting... There's something mysterious about that smile. Link to comment
jillmyers 0 Posted January 28, 2002 There is definitely a maturity coming through those eyes. Also nice lighting and composition. I'm sure you'll enjoy photographing her through the years as she continually changes. Link to comment
david_owens1 0 Posted January 28, 2002 The photograph is beautiful and so is your sitter. Link to comment
arthur sevestre 0 Posted January 31, 2002 If she's going to give a lot of trouble, she can always make it up to you by letting you make some more pictures like this. I say she's worth some trouble! Link to comment
jeff_clark 0 Posted February 2, 2002 It's young women like this that keep me from wanting a daughter. I'm already loosing sleep. Very pleasing image. You know, I once saw my dad place his Remington 800 (12ga.) by the front door for a young man to see when he picked up my sister. Brought her home an hour early :-) 7 years later, they got married and lived happily ever after. Link to comment
ken_imduaikiat2 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Lovely portrait. Something I expected to see while flipping through a RollingStones mag. She is going to grow up into a beautiful lady. Link to comment
bruce_jones3 0 Posted January 16, 2003 If the comment is because the young lady is your daughter, then of course you are in for it. Speaking as the father of a daughter who has been described as drop-dead-gorgeous, I know whereof I speak. I could tell you lots of stories but there's no room here, beginning with her being sent home from school in 3rd grade for boys fighting over her. But now mine is a 27 yr old RN engaged to a firefighter/paramedic and every moment of that craziness when she was young is worth it many times over. When mine was a teen I once remarked to my wife that beautiful teenage daughters are God's revenge against men for us having sex with their mothers. Keep that in mind for the next ten years and good luck! Oh, BTW, it's a great photo and she'll give you many more chances over the years. My daughter learned to love being a photographer herself from staring at the business end of my lens so many times. Link to comment
