vonsh 0 Posted January 29, 2002 This is my friend Raz.I shoot this on a typical Glasgow night. This is totally orchestrated and we had to wait quite a while for the cab (taxi). I love this shoot because it conveys the feeling of the place where it was shoot. Please tell me what you think.By the way the original slide has a bit more detail . itai Link to comment
calologist 0 Posted January 30, 2002 I find the triangle of total darkness in the left very distracting. I am not sure you want to crop it though... Link to comment
lucas_griego 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Would like to see a bit more of the silouhette of the person. His head just dissapears into the blackness at the top. The light on the wet sidewalk is nice - cheers, Luc Link to comment
david g. kelly 0 Posted January 30, 2002 I really like the light and the color. However, I can barely see the man, and I can't tell that the headlights are a taxi cab. Maybe it's my cheap monitor. I think this would work better if the man was closer to the camera and had a more distinctive silhuette. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted February 2, 2002 I can see why this is one of your personal favorites. I love the gold light shimmering on the wet surfaces. Although I like the way the light leads into the photo from the left corner, I believe that it does emphasize the subject matter more to crop out the dark triangle on the left side. The photo does seem to have two competing points of interest the shadowy figure of the man and the taxi cab. Rather than cropping out the triangle, try cropping out the taxi and leave the light leading to the shadowy figure and see what you think. Link to comment
mashika 0 Posted February 4, 2002 Mysterious light and composition. I love this photo. Link to comment

matthew_johnson 0 Posted March 11, 2002 The golden sheen on the ground really draws you in and captures attention. There are about a thousand different ways you could crop this, but I think it is fine the way it is. Link to comment
