Apple

arthur sevestre

obviously a lot of photoshopping was done on this shot. Leaving the center, the apple, alone, I gradually worked outwards. The idea was to make a graduation from "natural" in the center, to more and more abstract outwards. I still have to get used to it and do not really know if I like the result. It filled up an evening though (went to bed quite late...).

I liked it. At the second look, I didn't like it. So I looked again and liked it. Then I looked at the photo a fourth time and decided to comment. During the composition of my comment, my internet connection crashed...

I'm obviously very determined to make this comment, aren't I? I like your idea for the image. I think you've executed the concept very well, and for the most part, it's a very pleasing image. The only beef I have with this photograph is the heaviness of the frames you've created, especially when looking at the photograph full size. The weight of those lines is really too much for my liking. Maybe you could halve (or possibly more) the thickness of the frame lines. I think doing so would create a much more pleasing presentation of an excellent photographic idea.

I love it! Very well done, I admire the creative work you put into this and the talent it takes to imagine it. It's innovative and artistic. Great Job, I wouldn't change a thing!

I have enjoyed looking over you work. it's very good. and I am glad you enjoy working in and expermenting in PS I know what a joy it can be to get so involved working on an image trying to nail it down late at night. When viewing this my fist thought is that the box around the apple is to thick. Or what about taking the apple and shift it to the lower left a little with out being connected to the stalk at all? and not using the box? Anyway, just some thoughts. nice work!
