rjsc 0 Posted April 16, 2006 Glad you took it. It's an extraordinary shot. Beautiful colours and a terrific sky with that sunlight coming trough the clouds. Good composition IMO. Congratulations. Link to comment
orensztajn 0 Posted April 16, 2006 Perfect shot nothing to said about that, but I don't think the frame match the pic, just a minimun complain. Great job Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted April 17, 2006 You are lucky then to get this moment. Can sense the stormy mood. Good diagonal composition. Link to comment
jens-a 0 Posted April 17, 2006 Alittle too hard contrast, I think.. but the rest of it looks lovely!:) I love the light in the sky and the clouds!.. A little master piece;) Link to comment
timohicks 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Your contrast blending does render the clouds a little flat (which makes them look hard) and the same holds for the ocean but pictorial flatness, more or less, is due to the wide angle of the shot and compositionally, the distance of the clouds and ocean from foreground elements. Stylistically the color and camera angle work nicely with other photos in this series; and compositionally, color and style work together really well. I went to http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilms3pro/page3.asp to take a look at your camera and the Olympus E500 EVolt is an excellent camera. I would try using a lens with a longer focal length and or reduce contrast blends to unflatten background images. Oh, and the frame is a bit too much. Good work nontheless; sharp crisp image; and thanks very kindly for the comment---Tim Link to comment
shg2 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Thanks, would you please suggest more suitable frame design? Link to comment
shg2 0 Posted April 18, 2006 I am not sure that I could get your point regarding the contrast and flatness, do you mean the details of the clouds and the water were lost becuase of the high contrast? Regarding using longer focal length, I am not sure that I could get such coverage using longer focal lenth, also there was no space behind me, I was standing on the wood stairs when performing this shot and there is a house behind me. Thanks alot for your and others comment, I always appreciate any constructive feedback. Link to comment
