k5083 1 Posted June 26, 2006 The vignetting is characteristic of my cheap lens and I usually correct it, but this time I liked it. Link to comment
p. easter 0 Posted June 26, 2006 Cool shot...wished both wings could have been captured but great lighting and detail. Link to comment
gnashings 5 Posted June 26, 2006 I like the effect of the vignetting as well. I understand the difficulties of capturing aircraft n flight, but I have to say that composition-wise, you have posted shots that appealed to me more than this one. Still, an interesting and rarely seen subject shown in an interesting and as usual, well executed manner! Link to comment
aeaster 0 Posted June 27, 2006 August, do not worry about your vignetting so much. I do not believe that it distracts from an otherwise excellent photograph. A good case might be made that vignetting can even enhance. If you look at photos by the Old Masters of the art, say Eugene Atget for example, it is evident that most of those who we really think of as great photographers were not overly concerned with it. Perhaps we photographers today are becoming far too caught up with the fetish for technical perfection. What makes your aviation photos so much better than the rest of ours is the your ''aeroplane as fine-art'' approach. Link to comment
wrw1509 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks for taking the time to comment on my photo. Of all yours this seems to be my favorite. The color and detail is what draws me to it. The color of all your photos is amazing. Not over cooked, realistic, and warm. Being an amateur I don't know if that makes sense but I like what I see. Look forward to seeing more of your work. I will be checking in often. Link to comment
