Kildeer in Flight.

I shot this little guy with my 400/5.6 + Tamron 1.4 TC. It was really

slow focussing. I had to follow him for about 20-30' before it would

focus! I thought I was going to lose my window of opportunity, but I

got him. =)

Absolutely gorgeous capture, wow !

Wow! Not only you got him in focus, but you also have him in what I think is the best possible view; a few moments before he starts to fly away from you.

Nice capture. Were you using AI Servo or MF? Since you said slow.

Beautiful shot! Tack sharp focus, nice color, and well composed--a real winner. I like that you still see sky in the background too, so the bird isn't just lost against a grassy field. Congrats.

A fantastic shot and well worth the wait.

I hope you don't mind my low rating for originality, though. Obviously the aesthetics are top-notch, but thinking about origniality is much more difficult with this kind of photography and I don't think one should automatically give the same rating for both. It's just that I've seen hundreds of photos of birds in flight on PN! Is it original?
