Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2006 Very moody shot, and she has a great expression. Well done. However, the left side would be better burned down, at least to match the right (although both could come down even further). And the top of her right leg (on the left), along with her stomach and arm could be brought down too, and opening her eyes, thereby focusing more of the interest in her face. rasmuslindersson 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Very good use of light, it's really nice! I can see your model is going for the innocent look, and that works very good I think. Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted March 31, 2006 I know you can't resist, and that's why I like your feedback. I'm usually just so happy my 8x10s work out that I forget to apply some basic darkroom techniques (in PS). I'll do more playing prior to printing. I think I'm more inclined to brighten the shoulder on the right, though, since I like the contrast... Thanks, Robert Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted March 31, 2006 The evenly illuminated shoulders makes a wonderful difference in an already exceptional image. Link to comment
pbajzek 0 Posted April 1, 2006 This is indeed an interesting lighting setup, and I like how you've achieved a dramatic effect by contrasting just her skin with her hair. The light on the shoulders is lovely. I kind of wish her fingers weren't cropped, mainly because my eye gravitates toward hands and she's got such a great gesture going on- it's a shame we can't see all of it. Link to comment
