jplace 0 Posted March 30, 2006 I would like to see a color version of this. The sky just looks washed out to me, however that said, it might look better if the house and tree were out with this B/W rendition. The dark trees just seem to pull your eyes away form the nice mountain top. Link to comment
joser33usa 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Justin, I have posted the color version of this shot; click here to view it. It was an overcast afternoon and that is probably why the sky looks washed out. The color version is a much tighter crop without the house and trees. Let me know what you think. I certainly welcome comments on how to improve this type of shot. Thanks! Link to comment
jplace 0 Posted April 2, 2006 Jose, Sorry in getting back so slowly with you. I liked your colored photo but it just didn't look as good as this one, in that it just needed the contrast that you get with b&w. As I stated before the tree just didn't work for me, but the cabin does. With the tighter crop like in the colored version, the mountains just seemed to just be out there unattached to anything whereas with this photo they are actually hooked to the ground. Therefore I like this photo better. So here is a compromise that I suggest. JP Link to comment
joser33usa 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Justin, I like it! I thought you had meant all of the trees. :-) Thanks for the suggestion. Link to comment
