Good capture. Color seems off and slightly washed out. There is a deep red halo along the back and head of the bird that I'd guess is the product of something done in editing.

Patricia, I haven't edited this photo, all I did was crop it. I cannot see the halo you mentioned, can anyone else see it?

Kim, I think the halo that Patricia is referring to is the slightly darker red outline around the top of the birds head and a little way along its back. It is slightly more noticeable if you view the photo larger. But I must admit, if Patricia hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have noticed. Nevertheless, this is still a nice shot of a very striking bird. Best wishes.

Kim, this 100% crop ought to make it clearer. Might be chromatic aberration from the sensor.
