aepelbacher 0 Posted March 29, 2006 This image is from the second trip in as many weekends. As a teacher, I don't have many travel-work conferences. But this past weekend, they sent a group of us to Niagara Falls, Ontario for an International Baccalaureate conference. I grew up about 30 minutes drive from there (in Buffalo, NY), so I've seen the Falls before. But it's a gorgeous area, and you could never complain about a trip to see them. The conference was good ... and the Falls are AMAZING!! This was the view from my hotel room (!!!) We saw a range of weather conditions ... it's still winter in Southern Ontario. We also had time to walk all over the place and I took lots and lots of pics. I'm sure that you'll see a sampling of them at a later date. :-)If you find yourself interested in Niagara Falls, take a look at my blog for a short opinion piece by yours truly. Enjoy! :-D Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Howard - that's quite a compliment coming from you! :-) I have some close ups ... near the edge. When I have some time, I'll work them up and post them. I think you'll enjoy those as well! :-) Warm regards! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Nice composition and what a great view from your room! Seems to me that the image is a bit contrasty and could benefit from more midtones. Hope you don't mind but I tried a few things in PS to provide less contrast and more color. What do you think? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted March 30, 2006 I never mind when you guys play with my pics. :-) I love what you did with it, Ken. I need to learn more PS stuff ... it's on my list for this coming (travel-less) summer. Yeah! :-) Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Great shot from the hotel. I like what Ken did to brighten the image. Looking forward to your other photos of the falls. Link to comment
Jebamony 3 Posted March 31, 2006 Lou Ann, this is a very good photograph and I too love what Ken's magic fingers have done. Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted April 4, 2006 I do like Ken's enhancements but you gave him a heckuva a piece of material to work with. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I am sure that a view from nearer would have given a more impressive photo of the fall. From here, it looks almost little.Regards, Henri Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 8, 2006 Nice image Lou Ann, I like the diagonal line and Ken's treatment to enlighten the scene. Pnina Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted April 9, 2006 ...a place I would like to see one day. A good sense of the extent of the falls - and do we get to see the shots where you were on the tightrope :-) Link to comment

fototakernandalucia 1 Posted March 6, 2019 Nice view from your room ~ I am envious!!! May I ask which hotel you stayed at, though I think I know which because of the angle.... ;) Did you ASK for a Falls view or were you just lucky? Great snap from the hotel!! Link to comment
