peta 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Hmm, Lionel what were you doing at Wellington East Girls College? Looks pretty much how I remember one of our staircases there. :) Like how you composed this with the curves. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted March 24, 2006 I was looking for models, of course ... ;) Thank you for the compliment. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Hello People, don't be shy ! you can leave a comment, it's even better than a silent rating ... Thank you in advance. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted March 24, 2006 Lionel, Lovely exposition. As for the composition, I find it quite busy. I suggest a crop above (and a bit left) to make the image in a square format. cheers Jana Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Lionel, what a swirl of lines. This is a great image on geometry. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 24, 2006 Interesting Angle Lionel, as well as light and soft color range. well seen , Pnina Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 24, 2006 Excellent angle for such composition and perspective cher Lionel :) Bravo, Biliana Link to comment
v 0 Posted March 24, 2006 but i mean - WOW! you must have used a wide angle here! otherwise I can't see how you did this - given the narowness of the space! Very interesting angle and it almost feels like you have edited it in the PS... :) Cool to see the place again :) Thank you, Lionel! :) Link to comment
roylohr 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Better than wonderful composition and color. I would consider cloning out the light switch and tag at the top of the stairs as they mildly detract from the overall impact. Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Now wouldn't your lovely wife, in appropriate evening attire, look simply gorgeous descending these steps? Link to comment
delp 0 Posted March 24, 2006 what a praise ! I kept watching the comments' thread growing all day long, and the more I read, the more I wondered what to answer to thank everybody in a decent way ... so, THANK YOU .... - Guillermo, indeed, the whole building is just a pleasure for the eyes: this is a museum.- Jana, I have difficulties to picture what you'd like to crop out; maybe you could post an example ? Thank you for taking the time to comment.- Paula, I am sure you would like the place ... you would constantly find new material for your imaginations and compositions ... - Pnina, nice to read you, Thank you !- Chere Biliana, merci beaucoup for your kind words. From an eye like yours, the words typed by your hands are wonderful to read.- Vi, how did you guess ? back there, I wondered how you did not to feel too enraged with only your 50mm ... which is in fact a 75mm with your CCD size !! I used a 17mm, which is 25mm in real photography. That becomes reasonnable then.- Roy, YES, good idea, I will upload a modified version soon or late.- Chris, YES, YES, YES ! Let me propose the idea ... I'll keep you posted. Link to comment
tranhuy 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Nice capture. I really like the compostion, but color is the greatest thing here. Truly outstanding shot. Link to comment
sabina dorneanu 0 Posted March 26, 2006 Very good perspective, mixing elements, light and shadow, tones. Just a little thing distracts my attention - that electric white tiny thing in the middle of the picture. I don't know what it is. If you remove it, what remains is excellent. CHeers, S. cherlyn 1 Posted March 26, 2006 The thimbnail caught my eye immediately. The steps & curves are very nicely arrayed. Very good interesting angle. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted March 28, 2006 I will, indeed, clone out the undesired elements, there. I think this is the real flaw of the picture. Link to comment
hanna_v 0 Posted March 29, 2006 that's it, DP! and I agree with Sabina. an aesthetic picture, anyway. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted March 29, 2006 Daily, I wanted to erase the emergency exit sign as well, but did not have time ... these are the two "disturbing elements" IMO. anyway, THANKS for taking the time to enhance the pic. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Seems this staircase holds enough potential for a whole photography-workshop - bold and curvy view! Link to comment
delp 0 Posted April 1, 2006 I have plenty of new images of this stairway, I will post soon ... PS: all detracting elements ... gone ! magic. Link to comment
harlow_b._staley 0 Posted April 3, 2006 My suggested crop is on the top at the point of the left-hand curve. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Would it be possible that you upload your version ? Thanks Link to comment
