I really like the tree shadow on the road, however, I find the grey frame rather distracting. Regards.

I think the shadows on the road is an element that really makes this image. The strong diagonals really take your eye for a ride.

The grey frame was intended as a background, not a frame. This image to my eye is frameless.

I like seeing the almond trees extend into the horizon on the left and I also think it is important to see the whole foreground shadow. Your crop has eiminated the strength of some of the elements and taken away some rule-of-thirds balance. I prefer mine.

Thanks to both of you for looking and commenting.

I love the way you have shown the perspective in this image, so that my eyes are pulled to the front center where the wonderful shadow is located. You did great with this one! 7/6

Shawn - Thanks for looking and for the kind comments.

P.S. I used NIK Color Efex Pro filters on this one. They have two filters available for free download if you want to try it out.

Lovely image, nice composition....but I think you're color cast is off. The entire image is a bit blue. Polarizer or Photoshop prob?

This type of lighting normally creates a blue cast that is overcome by use of warming filters. (81A or B) I did use a polarizer, but I don't think there is a problem there.
