What makes this photo work is that you have pedestrians passing by in the background. If those are considered as part of the composition, then it almost feels as though there are cartoon wise men passing through the scene as if they were ordinary people. Placing them to the right of the frame was a great idea as it helps to convey the motion of the "wise men" from left to right. I would like to see the photo sharpened, and better atmospheric lighting would add significantly to the composition.

Fg object and bg lamp look like they came from the same place. Interesting juxtaposition between ages 2000 years apart.

They look like they came from the same place because they did. No Photoshop here. This was a creche in a public park in San Juan.

The contrast of the figures with the real people makes the shot- excellent catch.

 

Am I the only one that thinks the guy at bottom right is holding a bomb?
