robidooo 0 Posted March 5, 2006 I have mixed feelings about this one. I like the composition and subject, but I'm not totally sure about the "old look" treatment. The subject fit well with the idea, maybe the effect is just a little too strong. Or maybe is it that I'm simply not used to see this look. Anyways, I do like it. Link to comment
david shelby 0 Posted March 5, 2006 The Old style direction of days gone bye works very well within the context of this image! The texture, color and composition are perfect for the mood you are conveying! Beautifuly done, a 7/7 easy!!! Link to comment
haleh b 0 Posted March 5, 2006 I absolutley love it! I keep wondering what could have had her attention in such a rusitc environment. Not to mention that cute outfit... Link to comment
jstyles 0 Posted March 5, 2006 I love it too. Very contemplative mood, pose, setting. My interpretation is that it's early morning, giving me a sense of things ahead that need to be considered before embarking on the day/life. Thinking of it as afternoon instead gives it a distinctly less optimistic feel for me, one of loneliness and regret. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 5, 2006 Hi Teresa, this is a nice picture, executed with technical perfection. However, I am not sure I much care for this 'chocolate box' interpretation of childhood. For me this photo is more 1906 than 2006. Whilst understanding that this is probably your intention I am puzzled as to why. That said, I applaud your virtuosity and wish you much success with your work. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 5, 2006 ok, i just took a quick look over your portfolio. it's stunning. i'll be back for a longer, leisurely look a bit later but for now i quickly recant my 'chocolate box' comment. You apparently have many ways of seeing. Link to comment
