jimcallum 0 Posted April 18, 2006 but those "portici" of Torino are wonderful. One can walk many blocks without getting wet during rainy weather, and get out of the sun during the summer, with cafes and bookstalls etc. I visited in the 80's and I hope to go back there again someday. Thanks for the memories, Ferdinando, Jim Link to comment
eyeballkid1 0 Posted April 23, 2006 When a photo makes you reflect about the world around you it becomes more than just a picture. This one achieved its goal, great shot Link to comment
japi 1 Posted April 24, 2006 A very sad photo, a perfect image of our indifferent and selfish days. If you allow me a suggestion, it would get even stronger (just my opinion) if you crop it to eliminate the couple coming forward. Everybody else would be then walking away from the begger. Great work ! Link to comment

havhest 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Excellent shot. Good to have photos to remind us that not everyone is equally well off and and in fact, remind us how lucky we are to be able to afford the luxury of a camera. Well done. Best regards Tore Link to comment
dipeshl 0 Posted March 18, 2010 This is a very powerful photograph! Well Done Ferdinando! The suggestion to crop out the couple walking towards the lady would make it even more powerful Great Job! Dipesh Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted March 18, 2010 I like EVERYTHING about this shot, the concept, the lighting, the timing. It flows like a stream visually. If I may have one small quibble, it would have been to position yourself slightly to the right, putting the lady more to the lower left of the image, but this is difficult to do in street shots, because, for all I know, the probably was a clutter of people to your left, making movement difficult. I might also be tempted to crop out the approaching couple, as they add nothing to the picture, IMO. Assuming as I have that this is not a posed photo, this is a wonderful achievement and well worthy of POW status. Link to comment
