Like the colors in this shot. And the poses couldn't get more dynamic.

I don't shoot too many sports but here goes some thoughts...

You could take it one direction or the other and probably get a more dynamic shot...

 

A slower shutter speed to capture more motion - with these kinds of colors... it'd be a pretty nice effect. Probably his back leg would have more motion to it to show more speed

 

Or you might be able to go faster and get it crystal clear and them frozen and sharp in mid air... maybe to empahsize the expression on the face more...

 

These comments made with a grain of salt though as I am not that familiar with fast moving objects and long lenses..

I know that since I started to shoot I really take more time to look at how the shots in the papers sports page are... it's a pretty dynamic and fast moving subject so it's cool to see when guys nail it just right.

I could easily see it in the sports mags.

Nice capture of action,good clear picture. You have some excellent sport shot`s in your folder`s,

nice, i have always had trouble with shooting under the lights. mainly my eyes are screwed, but you have done well. it looks like to me you are already a damn good sports photographer. good luck. maybe shoot some other sports and lets have a look.
