tkinias 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Early evening, late February, just east of pont Neuf. All comments and criticisms are welcome. Link to comment
jim_g.1 0 Posted February 27, 2006 The people walking along the street and the parked cars really take away from this image it is a shame they had to be there at all. Whats wrong with people any way, they are always getting in the way. The composition is good the idea "person taking a picture" while not original is always one that is fun to look at. Might be my monitor but it seems to be just a touch out of focus. Great eye, keep shooting and posting. Link to comment
tkinias 0 Posted March 2, 2006 Your comments are interesting; they illustrate just how differently we can see things! The people and cars along the top I had, in fact, intended to crop out — since I was shooting with a prime from the opposite bank, I always intended to crop. But I found that they made what I felt was a positive contribution to the image: what I was shooting was the isolation of the couple in the foreground, alone in the city, and I think the background at top emphasizes that while this couple is having their private moment with the camera, the rest of the city is going on with its life around them.In re the focus, it isn't as precisely focused as it should be (I should have shot with a higher ISO instead of opening up to f/1,8), but the resized version here, as I see it now, would especially benefit from some sharpening. Thanks for your comments! tkinias 0 Posted May 15, 2006 I just uploaded a reexported version, with a little better sharpening I think. Link to comment
