Teru, this is my opinion, but this is really not done well. There is a big reflective spot in the middle, and the viewer's eye is drawn to the highlights. The pose isn't attractive, and you get no idea as to the personality of the subject. I'd try to stay away from flash. Go outside and get more natural shots of your subject.

I like this style. I looked at your portfolio and there is a distinctive edge and originality to your work. Keep up the good work.

I agree with Kent. Your work is original and slightly cutting. I like it a lot.

Teru, I think the lighting on the girl is ok. The background and hot spot, not so much. You can hang a sheet for a quick fix. Hope you don't mind. d.d.

This works for me. The hotspot pulls me into the model's face and long neck, and adds edge. I also like that it's refreshing and not a cliche.
