anupam 0 Posted February 18, 2006 I notice you have a couple of very interesting shots with blown out skies. I like this shot, but think holding texture in the sky would improve it. Have you tried a deep red filter, maybe even combined with a polarizer? This will darken the sky and bring out any cloud texture. Link to comment
k_basu 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Yes, ideally a red+polarizer combination would have been good for this shot, more so because the lens was facing the strong afternoon sun at an angle, and a polarizer could have reduced glare. The sky was more or less bland (nothing like the one in your picture), so I am not sure of much cloud effects. But it definitely could have been darker. I haven't ventured much with filters yet (save yellow). Red, green and polarizer are some I want to try out with B&W. Link to comment
