billkantor 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Hi Terry, It's a nice shot but I find that it works better for me in the snmall scale because I don't see the tree trunk detail. In the larger scale, I find the flowers fighting with the background for attention. It's never easy. If you dropped the background to black, you would lose the contrast between the left side of the stem and the background. Maybe the right side would be suffieciently illuminated to make it work. For me, it's subtle enough that it doesn't fight with the flowers, and they both complement each another by way of thier rough texture. However, I don't think this is all it could be. The flowers, though nicely lit, are diminished a bit by their angle and size. I guess what I'm trying to say is, that I'd like to see the flowers a little larger in the frame. cheers,Aaron Link to comment
