alaska wolf 0 Posted February 1, 2006 To me the composition is weak. The photo seems to need something, some focal point or point of interest other than the log. The fact that the background is out of focus and obscured by fog does not help. Tim, I see lots of logs lying on our beaches. In order for one to make a good picture it has to be a little different in shape, color or texture than the rest. Next you have to photograph it in a way that captures that uniqueness. Finally you have to put it all together into a compelling composition. Keep trying. It will help to look at the successful pictures of others and try to discern what they did to peak interest.
