markboyer 0 Posted January 31, 2006 This is extremely cool, Kim. It's a celebration of shape, color, and light. Outstanding. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 31, 2006 I flipped this image. You can see the post the barnacles were on at the bottom of the posted image; it's actually on the right and the yellow/green is the water that was on the left in the original image. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Nicely framed, and the colors are great. Quite a unique shot. The only thing that bothers me a little is that you can see through the barnacles on the left side, and my eyes keep wandering over there. But barnacles will be barnacles, huh? They don't take direction very well. Great shot. Cheers. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 1, 2006 That's weird, Barry - I hadn't noticed that hole at all, but now that you pointed it out, that's all I see! Thanks for visiting, guys. Link to comment
cjrupp 0 Posted February 1, 2006 A sea of color Kim, I like the diagonal and the contrast. I did't see the hole either, until I read Barry's comment. Nice use of the lens. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 1, 2006 They look like carved in the rock. Great use of light. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 1, 2006 The interesting light is what caught my eye. These were under a dock and the light was flickering. I have another I'll post soon. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted February 1, 2006 The first thing that caught my eye here were the colours of the background. They are so unusual. It is kind of 'abstracty' to me. Nice shot! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Thanks, Kim. It was a shaded area under the dock, where the flickering movement of the light reflections is what caught my eye. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted February 3, 2006 Particularily in the thumbnail versions, the wavy lines and smerged colours remind me of a still life oil painting. Such beauty in the things people normally take so long over scraping off the bottoms of boats etc! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 7, 2006 I never realized barnacles could be this beautiful! Wonderful colors! Link to comment
