kslonaker 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Male cardinal was nice and sat still for numerous shots. It was a wet, foggy morning, and the DOF selected made for a nice background, I thought. Comments? Link to comment

nathan cote 0 Posted January 29, 2006 aesthetically its nice but not overly original. the angle the light is hitting the bird and the color it casts over it is appealing and well done or planned. Link to comment

jon thornton 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Nice light, great subject, and good background. I see from your notes that this shot was taken in fog. Overcast conditions such as these are perfect for songbird photography in my opinion. Well done. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Nice shot, Kim. The Cardinal must have been very lazy or ill. I can't get the things to hold still for more than about three seconds. Great capture, nice light angle, as well. Cheers. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Thanks, Jon & Barry. Barry, when you have about a dozen competing for food and you have a portable bird blind, it seems to work. This guy sat nicely for the longest time. I took so many pictures, I finally just stopped because I felt like I was getting too many of the same thing! Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Your birds are such hams :) Beautiful detail, light, composition & DOF. What else can you ask for? Maybe that enquiring expression? :) Super capture! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Thanks, Tab & Jayme. I guess I'm a bird nut, too, since I'll hang around for hours, waiting for a shot! Link to comment
