namurray 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Valentino Rossi on his way to winning the Moto GP at Phillip Island October 2005. He's hard to catch, both on a bike and with a camera. Appreciate any comments. Link to comment
Marvin 4 Posted February 6, 2006 I'm amazed at the sharpness of the bike & rider while you were panning to get the shot. I wish I could do that. Link to comment
stephen_masiello 0 Posted June 12, 2006 I was watching tv today (in the USA) and Rossi was getting an award at the world sport awards. For this shot, I don't know if you were able to get close or if it your 400mm lens but it looks like you're right near the edge of the track. Great colors and sharpness. I love motorsports and would love to get into this type of phography but don't live close to any good racetracks here. It's obvious you are highly skilled at this genre (as well as the others in your portfolio) but if you want some good inspiration check out one of my favorite photographers at www.schlegelmilch.com . Just wanted to say your work is great and I look forward to seeing more from you. Very inspirational for amateurs like me. Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted June 12, 2006 Thank you very much for the comments. Yes I was reasonably close to the track when I took this one but I did use the lens at 400mm to bring Rossi into full frame. I just missed a bit of his back wheel by doing so. I have had a quick look at the Sclegenmilch site. Fantastic photos. I will have a look in greater detail. Thanks again.
