Relaxing in a warm day in winter

In January of 2006, I took a trip to Liangshan Yi Autonomous

Prefecture in Sichuan of China.

 

They are really nice and full of hospitality. They have been living in

the harsh land for thousands of years.

 

I hope they can also enjoy current Chinese prosperity and still

preserve their unique culture.

What are those hanging on the wall, look a bit like bananas, but they carnt be in that climate, or can they?

They are actually corns, one of their main stocks. The other is potato.

I think this would have looked better landscape, focusing more on the people in the picture. This orientation seems to detract too much from them.
