cathyscholl 0 Posted January 26, 2006 This takes me back to my childhood. I grew up around Polish Arabians (in America) poured over issues of Arabian Horse World, went to the Nationals in Albuquerque, Lasma Auctions (and others) in Scottsdale, AZ where I met famed Arab photographer Jerry Sparagowski and dreamt of assisting him and/or becoming a great horse photographer myself. My life wound up going in a completely different direction but your wonderful images inspire me again to photograph horses. Thanks! Link to comment
marty_golin2 0 Posted January 26, 2006 The pose you captured is classic; could be a painting - not blurred but still a lot of feeling of the motion. The different textures of the hair, skin, dust, & bushes are wonderful. The way the line of the head leads into the leg is a fantastic detail. Great tones light to dark. My only (very minor) quibble is the bottom-most rock & shadow are a slight distraction. Link to comment

jonj 0 Posted January 27, 2006 I have never photographed horses and know nothing of them, but I had a chance today while traveling I was lost and came upon 3 huge horses they where white and tan very large feet and all stood together for a perfect shot, but the weeds and fence and the fact there was no road to get close to them I had to give up, but your photos make me respect them as an excellent subject.
