djgraf 0 Posted January 24, 2006 very nice shot! is it desaturated or c-41? I like the slight residue of the fog burning off. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks, glad you like the shot, it is a digital that was desaturated. Glad you can see the whisp of fog. Resizing for PN tends to loose so much detail. Link to comment

marco_ruggiero 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Beautiful composition and framing. I like the position of the swans in relation to the frame. Love the tone and the water circles with their reflections truly enhance the image. Beautiful and congratulations, most importantly on your anniversary, lastly this beautiful image. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted January 27, 2006 Marco, at first I didn't recognize your name, but when I checked your porfolio I realized I recognized your wonderful faces. I have admired them. My favorite is the lady in the hat looking over the paper. Wonderful expressions. Thanks for taking the time to comment. It means a lot! Link to comment

kim_tural 0 Posted February 2, 2006 Lovely sepia tones you chose for your image. I love the way you incorporated the frame into your photo. It is very subtle and pretty. Swans are a very appropriate subject for your anniversary, they mate for life. Congradulations on the big day! Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 64 Posted February 7, 2006 Very well done, Regina. They look almost airborne already in that airy space at the top of the frame. Regina, I also saw your picture that won third place! (Of course, I saw it here when you first posted it.) I also see that you are just south of Raleigh. Nice part of the world. I am over here just off I-85 in Salisbury, between the Brushy Mountains to the northwest and the Uwharries to the southeast. Further north and west are the big mountains (6000+ ft.), of course, but I am glad to be closer to "wilderness" of any kind for a change, including the low hills of the Uwharries. Where is Leann? --Lannie Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 7, 2006 Regina, very nice pair and I like the crop you took with them in the upper part of the frame. Congratulation for the nice place in the contest! Pnina Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted February 7, 2006 Hey Lannie, I think Leann is in Morganton but not sure. That is west of here by about 3 hrs I think. We will have to get it from the horses mouth. I will look Salisbury up on the map to see where you are in relation to me. Ther must be a cool place we could all meet up and do some shooting someday. Leann and I were both at the Asheboro zoo on the same day and didn't even realize it last year. Thanks for commenting Lannie, Kim, Chris, Prina. This one is near and dear to my heart. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Regina, this image has a sense of timelessness about it. . so simple and so classic. . . congratulations on your anniversary . . . Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 13, 2006 Sorry I missed this one when you first put it up, Regina! I love this shot ... not just because the subject is so elegant. But I love the gradation of tones from light to dark, top to bottom in the water ... because of the placement of the swan ... because of the slight reflection of the clouds in the water. Wonderful work!! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 13, 2006 By the way ... Sondra Kicklighter and I were both on the Capitol Mall this morning taking pictures of the same people building the same snowman ... and we didn't realize it. (sigh....) Link to comment
