pjmeade 12 Posted January 21, 2006 Hello Lionel, This is a great wide angle, which cathedral was it? Pete Link to comment
amélie 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Gorgeous detail and light Lionel.:))) I saw your comments about digital, sky and exposures. I take up to 3 different exposures and meld them together...you end up with everything how it should be! We hopsessss anyway! Now this is digital and I can't see how it could be bettered on a film camera! I use to shoot with a nice Canon AE1 and never got great pics like this. Babble Babble ;))) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2006 what a beautiful end to a great series...The light and tricksie exposure to this interior shot are VERY impressive! p.s. - I am uploading a Warm Light shot to go with yours and Pnina's! http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4048465 Link to comment

hiroya 0 Posted January 23, 2006 I haven't read your "comments about digital" but this extraordinarily-exposed photo and Amelie's comment hint to me what it means. Is this High Dynamic Range Compression or did you merge plural photos by handwork with PS? Sublime architecture photo with superb angle! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 23, 2006 How did you do this, Lionel? Will you give us some technical details, please? Link to comment
delp 0 Posted January 23, 2006 ok, my friends, here they are: this was shot during a gray cloudy day. Where most diffused light enters the cathedral from everywhere. I shot without tripod, 1/8s, f/4. 400 ISOs. This setting was decided by measuring spot on the huge stained glass, and increasing gradually up to 1.5 stops. (Daily, I used to do that as well with film: this is in fact my old techniques applied to digital) Noise Redux ON (and I have to say, incredibly good one !) There is then some subtle photoshop shadow/highlight adjustment. No cropping, no skew, no perspective adjustment. Since this session, I have decided to shoot in RAW only mode. Link to comment

andre_mcnichols 0 Posted February 3, 2006 Certainly not the easiest lighting conditions and you did a great job with it! It's definitely worth it to use raw here. Where did you shoot it? Andre Link to comment
