paul_oberlin 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Tim, I've viewd countless thousands of fall color pics the past few months and this one is really standout! The soft effect, colors and compo all combine and take this above the cliche autumn leaves photo. Link to comment

ivan_milosevic1 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Can I ask one thing? I saw many time this efect of softly blured image, that creates dreamy atmosphere, and I like it a lot, but I don't know how to apply it in my photos... ! Can somebody please give me a brief description od how it is done? Thanks in advance... By the way, graet shot Tim, it is a pleasure to watch! Link to comment
timothy.lindop 0 Posted January 22, 2006 It was very overcast, and this sunlight lit the path just long enough to setup on a tripod and take the photo. Then the moment was lost. Ivon, to get the soft focus effect, I copied the backround layer and applied a small amount of Gaussian Blur to the copy and then merged it with the backgound as blending mode overlay. eye2eyephoto 0 Posted January 23, 2006 one of the best I've seen like this.. many try for this "effect" so I'm not sure how original it is.. but who is really? Not I, I know! You've captured the aesthetics perfectly, however. ;o) well done!! this is beautiful.. perfectly composed, lit and saturated.. peaceful. Link to comment

vance_cao 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Excellent. Just wonder if some of the purple fringing reduces the quality of the picture. Link to comment
