Jochen_S 308 Posted January 14, 2006 The colors are a bit to enhanced IMHO - the water looks unnatural/handpainted too, but you spotted a nice scene as usual. Link to comment
randall ellis 2 Posted January 14, 2006 While I like the water effect generaly speaking, the colors are too strong for my eye, especial in the grass and the leaves. The rock in the foreground attracts my eye and prevents it from going further into the image. I think moving closer to remove the rock from the foreground would help this image and give the eye a chance to move along the rock line in the water deeper into the shot. This might be interesting down at the water line, looking just as you are here, but with the river as the fore and middle ground. - Randy Link to comment
jana 1 Posted February 10, 2006 This is a beauty, Nanette! Reminds me of my early days, as a child, I was walking very often in the forests of my home land, Czech Republic. Enchanted by small gentle streams, as this one. cheers Jana Link to comment
nanette 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Thanks for your comments. I would agree that the colours are too saturated but I honestly didn't do anything with the saturation to get these colours. The only thing would be having my in camera settings set to "Vivid" for colour which I tend to keep on for most of the time. I found this day to have the perfect overcast for picture taking and this is the result. Other than adding an s-curve (which is maybe why the colours appear to be so saturated), I didn't do anything to alter this image. Just a slow shutter for the water. I have more of this area that I will get on posting where I don't have so much of a foreground. Thanks again for looking. :) And I'm glad this image brings fond memories. Link to comment
alinux33 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Beautiful scene Nanette! I had too that problem with Vivid color setting, and more if you touch the levels "buton". I wish I could catch a scene like this. You have talent! Link to comment
