sherwinjames 0 Posted January 9, 2006 I really like these types of shots. So simple, yet so powerfull. Great use of empty space (IMHO). Link to comment
jennifer valencia 0 Posted January 10, 2006 I like the use of empty space, too! The color is luminous and I like the elegant simplicity of the birds. Very pretty shot. -Jennifer Link to comment
jerry ting 1 Posted January 10, 2006 Sherwin and Jennifer for your comments. It was about 10 - 15 minutes after sunset when I took this shot. I am glad to see those 2 avocets are still in focus even the shutter speed is quite slow (1/10 sec at f2.8). Thanks again for stopping by. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted January 11, 2006 Great composition. I've never commented before on a frame, but your choice is perfect. I think avocets are among the most photogenic birds, and your image is outstanding. Link to comment

lbattjes 0 Posted January 18, 2006 Sorry it's been so long since I've stopped by...as I can see now, I've missed quite a lot! I've always thought your bird work beautiful, and this is a new standout. As the others have all said, the "dead" space is great here and the birds are happily in great focus. Your patience, talent, style, and dare I say, luck are extraordinary. Now it's time to go take a look at the rest of the these great shots I've missed! Leslie Link to comment
