alexguerra 0 Posted January 14, 2006 I like the unusual perspective of this shot and the details on the foreground leaves. Pozdrowienia, Alex Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 10, 2006 The fallen leaves symbolize all these innocent men, women and children who have meet their death here. It's a great picture with an enormous emotional impact. The perspective is even unusal as great. To me is says that we will never be able to see what has happend here and in the other camps in an other perspective as you have shot your picture; the world as a sliding scale. I think you did well to choose for colour Pawel. How bright and blue the sky might be, this ground inside the wire will always bear the signs of the most awful autumnperiod we have known in Europe and the South-East of Asia since time immemorial. But we haven't much learned from it.... Your series about Camp Auschwitz and Birkenau has impressed me very much. Thank you for share this pictures with others. I have great respect for you and your work. Warm greetings, Ada. Link to comment
olafdevries 0 Posted August 11, 2007 This shot stands for color, light and future! Nearly a year ago I did promise to visit. Even wrote that down and next didn't. Just not wanting to "praise" shooting-issues of this special work? Not being able to react in a way I could live with? Just simply not being the right moment yet? This whole night I did visit. Being ready. Watching and especialy reading did follow. I'm just writing my feelings and how my heart is telling to do so. To night I nearly totaly missed God! I've three (!) percent Jewish blood and because of Him, I'm proud of it! O yes, I'm a stupid boy, but my whole live, He is in the center of it. Without Him this photo was not shot and even this camp would not have been there. The earth, His universe would already have been gone. Wouldn't have existed at all. Every second we get, we get! If the earth was only a planet with a terrible history and a terrible to-day (oh yes!) and of course (!) a terrible future, I probably wouldn't even react! However, in spite of a stupid Adam, a not swimming Noah, a sand-grains counting Abraham, a dust eating Mozes, an earlier always "knowing it better.." people of Israel and even a not recognized and crucified Son.. and may be worst: those millions of heathens.., His magnificant plans are still going on! That's why we are turning! "Even" in this up side down world He is in charge. Denying the depts of the holocaust is a problem. Denying the meaning of the cross is a problem too. Denying the living God is the biggest problem. Seaming to have no view, no perspective, no future..! Oh.. you beloved people!!! Your way was so deep.., your calling is so high.. oh.. you beloved Israel! God is always working! Heard about this wonderful paralel..? Your life, your history, your future is exactly walking paralel with the life of the Messiah! Yes, inclusive the resurrection! Oh my God! How deep, how great, how amazing and marvellous You are !
