mike de la haye 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Hopewell Rocks is in New Brunswick. It forms part of the Bay of Fundy which has some of the largest tidal changes in North America. The beach area viewed here will be completely submerged in water when the tides come in. Link to comment
d_gillespie 0 Posted January 1, 2006 Composition and focus are fine, I feel the image is flat with regards to contrast. The very light sky draws energy out of your shot. It need some more "punch". What story are you trying to get across with this image? Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Mike, I agree the sky does the image no favours but I think there's some very nice detail in the rock formations and the vegetation. I think the bright overcast sky has brought out the rich greens and complementary warm brown of the rock. I might have tried for a vertical composition to eliminate the bland sea and sky and included all of the nice craggy trees along the bottom, adding depth and texture. It looks like a beautiful place to be. Link to comment
mike de la haye 0 Posted January 31, 2006 David, sorry for the delay in my response I have been busy with renovations. I appreciate the input. I would have preferred a beautiful blue sky but it was not meant to be that day. Link to comment
