It is so good to see a great and original shot such as this one to start the new year! I truly like the hidden message here. As if you are trying to bring her to focus by introdcing her true personality.

I think you could improve this, though I'm not sure exactly how.

 

What I don't like the look of is (your?) hand there, on the left. I think it really spoils the rest of the photo. Especially because it is in such sharp focus and because it is strongly lit.

 

I think you definitely should have got your model to hold the coaster (if that's what it is) herself, rather than you holding it - IMO that would look a hell of a lot better.
