Saadsalem 74 Posted April 19, 2016 I do really give this image its real appreciation, the greatest thing in this marvellous composition is that the door is closed by an extra lock, who knows if the original lock is used or not,this gave the meaning to fine pieces of art,I guess it would not be understood wholly by the eyes of western people. ha-ni-ton 0 Posted May 1, 2016 I totally agree with you Ostaz Saad. It is taken from Al-Sultan Hassan Mosque in Cairo. The mosque used to be a school to teach the four schools of Fiqh in Islam. Each school has its corner and in the middle there is the mosque yard "Sahn Al-Masjid". There are three more gates for the the Malik school, the Shafiey School, and the Hanafy school. But the one that worked with this composition and the extra lock that you intelligently noticed was the Hanbali one :-) Thank you. Link to comment
