Abhisheka at Bahubali's feet

The temple priest doing the daily ritual clensing of lord bahubali's

feet. This is a 60ft monolith and every 12 years the statue is

ritually clensed from head to toe with milk, sandalwood paste,

coconut water, turmeric and vermillion . Feb 2006 is the next maha

mastaka abhishek.

I am enjoying looking through the images in this folder. Thank you very much for sharing and explaining this culture that is so very different than mine.
