The temple priest doing the daily ritual clensing of lord bahubali's

feet. This is a 60ft monolith and every 12 years the statue is

ritually clensed from head to toe with milk, sandalwood paste,

coconut water, turmeric and vermillion . Feb 2006 is the next maha

mastaka abhishek.

A very striking image in term travel photography.

Picture a bit tilt and some eyes distract on left white dish. But still 7/7 by me.

I am enjoying looking through the images in this folder. Thank you very much for sharing and explaining this culture that is so very different than mine. I am fascinated with the rituals that are carried on here. I love that his robes match the colors that he is using to do the cleaning. It's a wonderful image, as are all of the images in this folder.
