sondra kick 0 Posted December 23, 2005 I like your PS work here. The image looks more like a pen and ink. 5/5 Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted December 23, 2005 Just conversion to B&W, contrast, and sharpening. With the conversion to B&W I tried to mimic fp4 with a deep yellow filter. In other words this looks pretty much what it would have looked like if I had shot ilford fp4 with a yellow filter and printed on high contrast paper. This was actually shot with Reala. nicholasprice 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Hello Ned, and Happy Christmas! This shot is wonderful. The composition is most pleasing and proportionally very aesthetic. The stream and waterfall leads the eye nicely into the frame. The snow adds to the tonal range beautifully and the plane of white in the foregraound counterpoints the dark sky well! I like the "dust" in the sky as it resembles snow flakes or early evening stars. The larger dust marks, and hair impressions in the main body of the frame are distracting though, and I have had a go at getting rid of them in photoshop. Fond regards, Nick. Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted December 31, 2005 I used my "poor man's perspective correction" technique here. This was a 28mm lens pointed at what is here the bottom of the picture. The bottom half is then cropped out. View camera results with a $50 camera! Link to comment
