hanna_cowpe 0 Posted March 16, 2006 John, it's good to see you posting again. This is a very dynamic image, full of strength and force and strong perspective. I feel I'm being pulled along the track with my eye on the vanishing point, and then the steel strut angles draw me down to the water rushing under the bridge. Wow, hang on! The delicate and colourful foliage forms a perfect background for the dark structure and the colour behind the zigzag pattern on the struts create a ribbonlike pattern. All in all it's a captivating image that holds the attention well. Just yesterday I was out photographing one of our few remaining all wood train trestles, now defunct. I hope I came away with an image at least half as interesting as this one. Link to comment
midget 0 Posted January 21, 2007 Not only does it show an interesting object, but also reveals your extraordinary sense of... Sense of what? I don't know... I just believe when you're about to take a shot, you KNOW it'll be stunning. Even I (being less than a rookie) can see a powerful mixture of sharp and "firm" tracks and an amazing picture of running water. It has something exceptional, which attracts viewers... all your pictures do!Best regards, Chris. Link to comment
