markboyer 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Effective, powerful shot. The harsh shadows really contribute. The right edge cropped perhaps a tad too much. Link to comment
julio_segura_carmona1 4 Posted December 6, 2005 Hola Paula, un bello trabajo , color y esa composicion, perfecta, PN. no seven,, un cordial saludo...6/6.http://www.hectorbrandan.com/images/julio-carmona.gif Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Jeri, Mark, Pulok, Julio, Cherlyn, thank you very much. As to the crop, well, I didn't crop. She was at the far end of the bathroom when I shot and I was on a stool with tripod to get the effect from above. I have another version with a torch light behind it, but the pose and disposition is the same. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 7, 2005 Paula, very evocative image, it looks like she is colsed in a narrow place ( well she is..)I like the monochromatic color that is compatible to her pose. Pnina Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Looks like she is confined in a narrow area. Her pose reflects the agony of the confinement. Nice tones. Link to comment
lgreene 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Funny but great how people's perception differs so much. Being a mother I look at this and see a stolen quiet moment in the bathroom after a shower. To me confined means imposed lack of space but here I see solitude by choice. Very thought provoking image-nice textures. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Pnina, thanks lots. Jay, glad you liked.Thanks. Leann, yes, it was voluntary solitude in my purpose. Thanks. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted December 8, 2005 To me the body language is about retreat into oneself - as small a space as possible. So I see it differently to Leanne. I agree about the tight crop on the right but the composition is very good with the back against that side of the frame. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Yes, Colin, at times it is necessary and not negative if temporary. Thank you. Link to comment

alexandra rauh 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Very good how You boundle her together,to be all herself.Even she is sad, she feels herself.very good drawing type image. Link to comment
Ciaoo Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Francesco, Lionel, Alix, yes, it's intended to be a bit sad---"in that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts brig sad thoughts to the mind"(W.W.) Thank you. Alex, shot one with the eyes to the camera, but liked the cascade of wet hair here. Thank you so much. Link to comment
