martin vanko 0 Posted December 2, 2005 ...hence publishing it here; would be curious what people say. It is bordering on kitsch; but there was nothing added to the scene - two people shot with telephoto lens with the rainbow in the background. Link to comment
martin vanko 0 Posted December 2, 2005 This is another picture from the same time, taken with the Noblex. Link to comment
gallery1 0 Posted December 2, 2005 If this is unmanipulated then for me it rates very highly as a well composed shot displaying a miraculous event. I just wish it was a little darker, to emphasise the colours more, still a great shot. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted December 2, 2005 I agree with Brian. Great shot. Nicely composed. The sky needs to be blue. If the sky were blue, this would be near perfect. Link to comment
martin vanko 0 Posted December 2, 2005 Thanks for your feedback. I did try to leave the sky dark grey as it was on that day; did not look good to me so I lightened it up a bit. As for painting the sky blue, that would definitely tip it over to the kitsch side for me. But it is a matter of opinion of course, and I respect yours. Thanks again. Link to comment
root 0 Posted December 2, 2005 This is "good kitsch", if there is such a thing. Let's start with the assertion that nobody in there right mind would not try to get this shot given the opportunity. I think it works beautifully as a high key shot and wouldn't change a thing. The noblex shot is very nice too. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted December 5, 2005 to mi snad prinese stesti, ahoj jana Actually I like it as it is. To make it darker would be just another standard shot. Being light makes me jump in the air. jana Link to comment
