...hence publishing it here; would be curious what people say. It is

bordering on kitsch; but there was nothing added to the scene - two

people shot with telephoto lens with the rainbow in the background.

This is another picture from the same time, taken with the Noblex.

If this is unmanipulated then for me it rates very highly as a well composed shot displaying a miraculous event. I just wish it was a little darker, to emphasise the colours more, still a great shot.

I agree with Brian. Great shot. Nicely composed. The sky needs to be blue. If the sky were blue, this would be near perfect.

Thanks for your feedback. I did try to leave the sky dark grey as it was on that day; did not look good to me so I lightened it up a bit. As for painting the sky blue, that would definitely tip it over to the kitsch side for me. But it is a matter of opinion of course, and I respect yours. Thanks again.

This is "good kitsch", if there is such a thing. Let's start with the assertion that nobody in there right mind would not try to get this shot given the opportunity. I think it works beautifully as a high key shot and wouldn't change a thing.

 

The noblex shot is very nice too.

Actually I like it as it is. To make it darker would be just another standard shot. Being light makes me jump in the air. jana
