Maybe you can take constructive criticism but you certainly don't give it.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I took some time to comment on some of your recent photos. In general, I only comment when I have a specific critique, and if you look at my message history usually my message sits amongst a lot of 'beautiful!' and 'great!' messages and contains very specific thoughts/critiques about the photo. I personally like hearing that someone enjoys my work as the next person, but i am softspoken to critique other works unless something hits me when i see it worth comment. That being said, I will try to be more conscious of that in the future. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comments Jeff. I will respond to them later today. In fairness to you I don't think I had the right to say what I did. However, your request for a critique was so blatant, I wondered why you never commented on or rated the photos of others more than you do.

 

Naturally you have the right to use the site the way you want to. However, I do feel if you want people to openly critique your work, you should try to do the same for others. (Not necessarily me!)

 

As to this photo. It is very well balanced. I can't take photos in daylight and I do admire those that can.

I like how it is dark around the edges, makes it look like a painting. Best Regards, Bill
