There is a nice visual effect, here. After a while, the footprint seems to be actualy coming towards you, rather than beeing printed in the sand. It becomes basically three-dimensional.

I think you could enahnce this effect with a slightly-tighter crop, which would also remove the blackish structure to the top right corner which is slightly distracting from the main subject.
