dchatter 0 Posted November 12, 2005 James, I like this portrait. The strong features, sharp lines, intensity of the expression, breadth of the shoulders, all combine very objectively. Personally I like this lighting style... works very well with proper subjects. I'm slightly concerned about the reflection on the forehead which seems a little strong to me... it also leads to a little loss of details, and at a very prominent place. But please take this as a subjective opinion. Best regards. Link to comment
jameswages 0 Posted November 12, 2005 Thank you for your very positive comments . I do appreciate the constructive critique. Now next time I shoot such a tall person I will move the softbox a little farther away. Thanks again, James Link to comment
jameswages 0 Posted November 12, 2005 How is it now? I took your advice and burned the highlights on the forehead slightly to give back some detail. Best regards, James Link to comment
shambhala 0 Posted November 12, 2005 The kind of portrait I like. Shame it's slitghly out of focus though... Link to comment
jameswages 0 Posted November 14, 2005 Thanks for your comment. I was hitting the focus on his eyes, and yes the DOF blurs out the rest of him. Best regards, James Link to comment
