henrimanguy 0 Posted November 5, 2005 The twilight sky is very impressiv but it is not evident that this is mountains that you see here because this is a bit too dark. Regards, Henri Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 5, 2005 Hi Henri, thanks for your comment.I agree that this is dark, but I do see mountains...maybe since I am use to this view.It might also be some monitor mismatch... on mine (in the larger version) I even see some needle-shaped peaks in the middle. This was posted mainly to address this thread Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted November 5, 2005 Amazing light Salvator, I see the mountains, but the light , the light..! Pnina Link to comment
jeremy freeland 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Maybe not as sharp as it could be, but it's all there - the big diagonals in the clouds, the light in the same diagonals and on the horizon, the dark burnt orange colour of the sky, and the matching of foreground and background with the deep shadows/blacks. I also like how the shot implies that the night's over and day is on its way. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 7, 2005 Thanks again for your feedback. You all seem to light what also made the picture for me, that is the incumbent sunrise and the patterns of lines in the sky in the orange glow of sunrise. As for the light, Pnina, that's what cold winter night sometimes bring. There are many days a year when the view is just magnificent. As for the sharpness, Jeremy, the things are ~80-100km away, and even during cold morning there is some haze. With the air cooling down now, I might try to get some other usable shot. With digital 1.5x factor, I might skip the 2x converter and just use the 200mm to see what I get in the way of sharpness. Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Hi Salvatore, sems like two jets roared passed and you captured the stream. Like the highlights made but the orange brown tinge really reminds me of the cold bleak wintry sky of England. Link to comment
