helen_austin 0 Posted December 3, 2001 I'm very new to photography, and this is one of my first attempts. Does anyone have any constructive advice? Link to comment

david beilis 0 Posted December 3, 2001 Nice place... interesting composition... Use filters and try to reduce contrast. The sky is too light... almost no details seen on the dark mountains... shoot in the morning or evening, not during the sunny noon... you will have a lot of blue color... try to warm the picture :) Link to comment
asaf_cohen 0 Posted December 3, 2001 Very nice picture, and indeed a very interesting place. I have one thing to add: I would prefer horizontal framing - this way you see less of the sky, less of the mud close to you and more of the mountains. And more: try to add an interesting subject, maybe a local man/woman, animal, machine... Link to comment
brian_smistek 0 Posted December 3, 2001 Hi Helen :o) You did very well, but you could have done even better by shooting the scene as a horizontal. It would have helped a lot if you had moved your camera or zoomed in a bit closer to eliminate those pesky, metal railings. Keep up the good work! Link to comment
