nathan_ross 0 Posted November 1, 2005 I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve with this photo, but a few things stand out straight away. The stormwater pipe in the bottom-right and the concrete used to stabilise the bank don't combine to make a "nice" scene. Of course, this could be a shot that is about environmental damage and so those comments are redundant. Also, the colour and detail of the water and the sky might have been improved by using a polarising filter. Lastly, you have the "horizon" cutting right across the middle of the image. This leaves a lot of space filled by the water, which isn't all that interesting. Now, following all that constructive criticism (sorry!), it's a really nice scene with a nice weighting between the building, the bridge and the warm-toned trees.
