jmoody 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Hard to appreciate on my little monitor, but judging from its thumbnail, seems to have a wonderful bold geometric quality to it in the lare "s" of the river. Must look great when printed large! Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted October 28, 2005 Hello Marco, this is a fabulous shot, I love the snaking line of the river and the wake in the water. I'll bet there was no peace and quiet with that thing going up and down. Cheers. Pete Link to comment

carnisch 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Very Impactful Picture. One of the best I've seen on photonet. I like the light and the shadows. Bravissimo. Roberto Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted October 29, 2005 Light, shadow, color, action--this one has it all. The pieces fit together very well--maybe the sliver of canyon on the top left doesn't quite fit, but that's being critical (you might perpective correct it out). Otherwise, ready for framing. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Coming back to take a closer look--I get the feeling that there should be some tiny shadows in the foreground where the rocks jut out into the water to make this look more realistic. It looks a little bit cut and paste there. Link to comment
zampy 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Really great shot! Timing, colour and subject lead to a top quality photo Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted October 30, 2005 Focal length 18mm f 3.5, Shutter 135 seconds WB - shade Tripod used Flash used for foreground illuminationFlash? For this foreground? How many #1 flashbulbs did you use? 200? O. Winston Link couldn't have lit this scene with flash.Gorgeous shot; should make POTW, but I can't see where the flash fits in... Link to comment
robert goldstein 0 Posted October 30, 2005 I think that the color balance is a bit weird, but otherwise, this is excellent. Link to comment
markomoudrak 0 Posted October 31, 2005 Thanks a lot for all your comments. Couple of things: Les - don't know what happened or how, but the photo data is not right. There was no flash used, shutter1/160, f6.3, focal lenght 40. Thanks for pointing that out. David - I think the reason foreground rocks look as if they were pasted is because of shallower depth at that region. The slope is less inclined and light can shine through to the bottom. thanks again marko Link to comment
