Excellent photo. I like this very much. I think it could have been a little sharper, but I won't nitpick that. It is a nice candid glimpse into another world. Thanks for the trip.

The 'natural frame' here gives more impact to the composition/crop.

 

I like the arm on the border of the window, it's like the effect most PP use for candid portrait with 'parts' out of the frame.

 

Obviously you took this picture when hanging around: good sense of observation and reflex of the eye.

Thanks for your comments Omega. I was walking through a small village near Luang Prabang in Laos just soaking up the lifestyle of the people when I looked up and saw this view. Unfortunately I only had my point and shoot camera with me and the image is not as sharp as it could have been. I also thought that I may be intruding into his life so I took the photo as quickly as possible, hoping that I would capture the impact the view had on me.
