svend erik poulsen 0 Posted October 18, 2005 It's very pleasing to watch. I gave it 7/7 Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted October 18, 2005 VERY nice setting. But the time exposure of the flowing water is cliche and I feel, does actual harm to the image. Hope you got one somewhere without the fuzzed out water. Link to comment
ian cameron 0 Posted October 19, 2005 It seems anything but cliche to me. The whole scene has a liquidity about it that I find very organic and satisfying. Link to comment
hakki_yesillik 0 Posted October 19, 2005 Your image is rebel and it is poetic. I like very much it. water move is like a wild rituel.Your tech. nice .Compliments.Congrats.... Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted October 19, 2005 This has a real romantic feel to it and I have the impression that I'm looking at an old painting. Simply beautiful! Link to comment
jam50 0 Posted October 19, 2005 Soft water may be cliche (the gods know I've done my fair share of that sort of shot, and not nearly as well as this) but the tones and colors of this image are not. I LOVE this photo. Well done! James Link to comment
d_f5 0 Posted October 19, 2005 flow of energy - beautiful blend of colours and tone - a beautifully flowing composition - simply a very nice photograph indeed Link to comment
michael_ferron1 2 Posted October 20, 2005 Thanks all. The shutter speed here was a moderate 1/8. That was with a polarizer and an aperture of F19. Not as slow as many of my water shots which run into the seconds. Link to comment
tfajr 0 Posted October 23, 2005 True that moving water is a cliche--but all good cliches originated with truths--and thats what made them cliches. What makes this work so well is how the flow of the water and the flow of the rocks augment each other. Probalbly could not shoot a better picture of this fall. Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted November 5, 2005 I love these beautiful chiaroscuro tones. But what really sets this image apart is the beautiful textures in these walls that flow along with the falls. A first rate landscape... Link to comment
golden 1 Posted July 14, 2008 I like this shot, very nice composition, 1/8 sec? that water must have been really flowing strong to get that kind of movement at 1/8. The shot wouldnt have been near as nice without the water movement, a dreamy look, keep up the good work Link to comment
quasifoto 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Michael ~ This is a great image. The tones and textures of the water and rock walls are just fantastic and I love the composition and the trees too! Congratulations! ~ Gary Link to comment

rekaras 0 Posted October 23, 2009 I'm glad I went beyond the thumbnail on this one as it didn't look that interesting, kind of flat. But wow, what a terrific image you've managed to hold here. It's just terrific in every aspect. rich in light, drama, detail and motion. Kudos, very well done, regards rek. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted October 23, 2009 It has been said, above, that this photograph has a real painterly quality to it; and it truly does. I'll go farther and say that it is loaded with Gothic emotion and imagination equivalent to the moody scenes created by the great landscape painters at the height of Romanticism. A slight crop of the left side might even improve this already superb composition; and your post-processing is sublime and finishes off the feeling captured here. Well done! This is headed straight into my "Favorites." Cheers! Chris Link to comment
