squirrelman 0 Posted November 29, 2001 Very nice photo and excellent composition. The one problem is the underexposure -- probably due to the UV brightness/glare of the sky at such a high elevation. A little photoshop lightening would help a great deal. Link to comment
fabgo 0 Posted November 30, 2001 Nice shot. Nepal is a great country for photography. I like the composition, but it would have been even better if you (a) had taken it from higher up on the hill, when the whole mountain range would be visible behind the ridge and (b) had waited until your fellow hikers were closer to your camera. The exposure looks correct to me, but I suspect that you used a polarizer filter, and turned it too much. Polarizer filters have a very strong effect at high altitude, and can turn the sky almost black. This can easily ruin a picture if you're not aware of it, since it's not easily visible through the viewfinder. Link to comment
adam_koebel 0 Posted November 30, 2001 I really like this photo...I think the best part is the mountains and sky definitely. That's immediately where my attention went, it looks beautiful. If you wanted your focus to be the hikers than they should be closer to the camera. Great shot :) Link to comment
garyprzy 0 Posted December 1, 2001 Very nice shot. I wonder if you shot any of this basic image without the people. There are some nice complements here such as the foreground rocks and background mountains. Link to comment
chris_browne 0 Posted December 5, 2001 A little over polarized, but a great "I wish I was there!" shot Link to comment
danielle_poissant 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Great photo! I think the shot would have lost it's appeal without the people - it's great like it is. I also noticed the effects of the polarizing filter but I don't think it distracts from the picture. Link to comment
